“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless his name.” – Psalm 100:4
Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends! As we enter this Thanksgiving weekend, I first want to say how thankful we are for YOU here at Original and Rockford First. If nobody says they are thankful for you today, know that we are! We thank God for you, for your salvation, for your perseverance, for your faithfulness, and for all He is doing in your life! The Spirit of God IS working in you, growing the fruits of the Spirit in you – we are grateful for the Grace of God in your life and how He is moving you forward! You are valued and loved!
Second, I want to challenge all of us to set aside some time today or this weekend to thank our Heavenly Father for the many blessings He has given us and also express, in a tangible way, our thanks to our family and friends for who they are and what they mean to us. It is one thing to be thankful in our hearts for all we have, but lets be brave and intentional in speaking out our thanks to God and others this holiday. It is called Thanksgiving after all – GIVING means it will cost us something – maybe stepping out to say something we’ve never said to a loved one, or perhaps praying a prayer out loud we’ve never prayed. Let’s truly GIVE our thanks this Thanksgiving!
I love you all! Have a wonderful weekend!
